The snag list is always written twice
Once on site — in a notebook, in the camera roll, in a voice memo. Then again that evening, back at a desk, trying to remember which of forty near-identical photos was the cracked lintel on the second floor. The second write-up is where the detail dies, and it is the only version anyone ever reads.

Arrow & freehand mark-up
A dedicated arrow tool for pointing at the defect, plus pressure-sensitive PencilKit strokes. Both flatten onto the photo at full resolution.
On-device dictation
Hold the mic and talk. Speech recognition runs on the phone, in your locale, with no server round-trip — so it works in a basement with no bars.
GPS tag & snag map
Coordinates are captured at save time and every geolocated snag drops a pin on a map. Tap the pin, open the snag.
Severity & category
Low, medium, high, critical — plus your own category label. Both become filter chips in the gallery and section breaks in the report.
Before / after compare
Put two shots side by side full-screen. Same defect two weeks apart, or two angles of the same problem.
EXIF that survives the email
Coordinates and a maker line are baked into the JPEG, so the recipient sees them in Photos or any desktop inspector — not just inside the app.
Branded shares
Shared photos carry a caption block with the description, timestamp, severity chip and your logo — readable without opening an attachment.
Retention that respects storage
Photos are downscaled on save and pruned on a window you choose — 14, 30, 45, 60 days, or keep everything on device forever.
No account, no cloud
There is no sign-up, no server and no sync engine. Snags live in a local store on your device and nowhere else.

Privacy by architecture
Your site photos never leave your device
This is not a policy promise, it is how the app is built. SnapPoint has no backend. Photos are written to a private folder on the device and their metadata to a local database. Speech recognition runs on-device. Nothing is uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload it to.
Your snags leave only when you choose to share them — as a photo, or as a PDF you generated yourself. Which also means: on a client site with no signal and a locked-down guest network, the app works exactly as well as it does anywhere else.
Where SnapPoint ends, ProjectOffice begins
SnapPoint captures the moment. When those moments need owners, due dates and a status that closes, they belong in a project plan.
